The Princess Bride

I watched this film on Sunday as I’d finally got round to buying it on DVD (bargain price of Â£3.93 from Tesco Online).

This is a very funny film and isn’t the romantic film the title portrays. I wonder how many people who saw it at the cinema were disappointed/pleasantly surprised when it didn’t turn out to be as expected? There were some stunning smaller parts played by Mel Smith, Billy Crystal and Peter Falk. I would definately recommend this film as I found it hilarious and it could also work for children although it is a PG.

Just about the first DVD I bought, I think – and my reaction on seeing it (admittedly I borrowed a copy before I bought it) was about the same. Truly brilliant,definitely in my top ten.
