Come on, you must have seen this coming? You have got to love Star Wars (I mean this). There are, and always will be, debates over which of the original trilogy is best, most people seem to prefer the darker Empire Strikes Back, but I love the first film. You’ve got the young farm boy who becomes the hero, the evil bad guy, the old guy that teaches the young hero to fight. There’s a princess to save, comic robot sidekicks, huge space battles, what more could you want? I first remember watching this on a dodgy VHS recorded off the BBC and I watched the remastered versions when they came out in the cinema in 1997. I’ve bought the same (remastered) copies on VHS when they were released and I bought the “Slightly Different Special Version” copies when they came out on DVD.

I’ve also read lots of the books and comics based in the same universe and I own a life-size cardboard cutout of R2D2. I also have a replica lightsabre hanging on my wall. Yes, I am a Star Wars Geek.
