No sorry this isn’t a post about the country, but the 1985 film, directed and written by Terry Gilliam (him off Monty Python). It was a very visual film and the DVD certainly drew you into Gilliam’s imaginary future world. The film is based around a big brother state department called the Ministry of Information, (Think more 1984 rather than dodgy TV show), where a dead fly falling into a printer causes chaos and the clerk “hero” who dreams of getting out of his job.

The film does tend to go a bit weird in places, especially the lead character’s dreams, but I would definately recommend you see it. It is quite a long film, the director’s cut I watched clocks in at 142 minutes, and my house mate gave up half way through due to tiredness, but I reckon it’s worth it.
