The first two spideman films were amazing and the third installment looks to be as good if not better. The final trailer has just been released and I am really looking forward to this film. The only that could work against it is that there seems to be loads of villians in this film, four I could see from the trailer, so hopefully this won’t make the film too crowded.

This show is currently in its third season and another that I eagerly await the next episode of. The show is a bit of “teen” show, but it is clever enough and funny enough to appeal to adults as well. The show is based around an only daughter being raised by her Dad who is a private detective. Veronica ends up helping her Dad out on cases as well as helping out her friends at school. It sounds a bit cheesy, but the script writing is excellent, you can’t help but laugh at some of the episodes. You also tend to warm to the central characters and lots of the more pivotal episodes can really make you empathise with them. As I seem to be doing a lot of lately, go and watch an episode or two and get the first season on DVD.

I watched the last ever episode of this series last night, well not exactly the last episode apprently there are some TV movies in the pipeline, while not the best episode ever it is still sad when a series that has been running this long ends. Starting in 1997 and running for a total of ten series, this is probably one of the longest running science fiction televsiosn series that isn’t related to Star Trek.

Although this series did seem to wane near the end the addition of Ben Browder and Claudia Black to the more recent series has added a new spark that was just beginning to work and it would have been interesting to see how they fared.

If you haven’t seen it before, go and pick up the first series on DVD.

I went to to see Head Luggage play at the Betsey Trotwood pub in London last night. As I know the band quite well this won’t be a completely unbiased review, but I do get to review them before anyone else does :)

Headluggage

Their opening song, Walk With Me*, was amazing and a great way to start a set, very rocky (technical music term) and the vocals worked very well. The second song, Just One Kiss, carried on in a similiar way, but didn’t stand out as much to me. As I’m lazy I’m not going to review every song so here are a coupel of other songs that stood out to me: Grace was one of my highlights, a very powerful song and the band seemed to draw me in with this one. The band finished on again two very rock filled songs that seemed to say “I know we did some slower ones in the middle, but we’re going to leave you on a high”. For me the first of the two, Take Me Home, stood out, especially lead guitarist Andy’s riff. No offence to the rest of the band, but if you only had that riff and the vocals, it would still be an amazing song.

I’ve only heard most of these songs a couple of times now, so some of the others may grow on me. Unfortunately they haven’t recorded some of their newer songs, so we will have to wait to listen to them in the car. Check out the myspace and the website for a few song clips, future gigs and some more info on the band.

Having just finished their current series on BBC 2 and seeing as I haven’t mentioned the show before I thought I’d mention it. This is a very entertaining show and some times hilarious, while it doesn’t have as many car reviews as it used to, the “features” are often very funny.

The last episode had a review for the Mustang GT 500. How nice does that car look? Click the picture for a larger version.

Anyone got a spare £40,000?
