Yes I like Harry Potter :P I completely missed all of the inital buzz when I was at university, I even had a friend called Herminone, so I was one up on the pronuciation. I eventually went with some friends to see the first film when it came out and enjoyed it so much I went and bought the first three books, which I read in under a week. I’ve read all the books (except the latest one, I’m not a big enough fan to stop reading my current book just because the new Harry Potter is out) and got all the films on DVD. I usually end up going to see Harry Potter at the cinema by myself due to most of my friends not liking the series. So I went last night to see the latest one and I’m surprised to say I was disappointed. None of the previous films have been masterpieces, but they have all been enjoyable and have kept with the feel of the books. The latest one I found a bit rushed and I think the length of the books has finally caught up with the film makers. At two hours and eighteen minutes the film isn’t short, but there were lots of things that just happened and you wanted them to spend more time on things. Especially with the death at the end, it seemed like you barely had time to register before the film had ended.

Order of the Phoenix

I’m probably going to end up buying the film on DVD, but I can’t say it was nearly as good as the others before it.
