Wooglie's Thoughts

This film is about the head of a weapons company, who after being captured and almost killed by a group of terrorists, who were using his own weapons, decides to create an armoured suit. He escapes from the terrorists and decides to use his suit to fight evil. Robert Downey Jr. plays the lead, Tony Stark, and turns in a great performance as the weapons manufacturer turned superhero. The effects are also top notch, especially during the construction of the mark 2 suit. Definately one I’d recommend going to see.

Saw two films yesterday, Speed Racer and Iron Man. Speed Racer was a crazy, fast paced, film with a very cartoony feel to it. The story was about young boy racer trying to make his name amongst the big names and corporate business evil types, with the help from his family and friends. The plot wasn’t anything to write home about, but the amount of energy and bright colours packed into the, mostly CGI, races was impressive. There were times when it was hard to tell what the cars were doing. It was a bit like Wacky Races on steroids.
