Wooglie's Thoughts

I saw this film last night. It is the latest film directed by Danny Boyle who also did Trainspotting and 28 Days Later. The film follows an Indian boy who grew up in the slums, but is now on the Indian version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire?”. The film switches between him answering questions and the events in his life that lead to him being on the show, oh and there’s also a love story intertwined through the film’s narrative.

The cinematography is also excellent with sweeping shots of the slums and some stunning scenes along a train ride through India. These contrast very well with the sometimes claustrophobic shots inside the game show studio. I really enjoyed this film and others seem to rate it highly as well, it has already won four Golden Globes and numerous other awards.
