South African Aliens and Some Basterds

Quick update on two films I’ve seen recently:
A rather excellent film about an alien inhabited slum in Johannesburg and the man in charge of relocating them outside of the city. This film has some rather good CGI as when the aliens are interacting with the humans it appears seamless. You have some excellent CGI surrounding the alien weapons and ships. The story is also good and quite believable (within the context of a film about aliens).
The latest film by Quentin Tarantino sees the director return to form with an amazing dialog driven film, with some of the best conversations in film for some time. Special note has to got to Christoph Waltz for his amazing portrayal of Col. Hans Landa, who has to be one of the most intelligent and formidable characters I’ve seen in a film. The film is about Americans and French resistance trying to blow up a German film premier durign the German occupation of France in World War 2. I can’t really describe this film well enough to give it justice, so go and watch it.
